We're not relocating -- instead, we're having our hardwood floors refinished, and we need to clear out all of the furniture that will be in the rooms with hardwood floors. We will store the furniture in a rented moving truck that will stay in our driveway for the week during the sanding and refinishing process. We would also like to hire the same movers to help us bring the furniture back in to our house when the floors are all done -- this will be on Friday 4/22 or Saturday 4/23.
Our heaviest and most delicate item is our dining room table. It is a heavy oak table with a leaf -- we will remove the leaves, which will make it approx. a 30" round table. This will be moved in to our kitchen instead of in to the truck, but it will still require some care navigating through the standard-width doorway into the kitchen.
The rooms are all on the first floor. There are three steps to navigate down the front walkway.
Total rooms being moved = 5 -- living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms. |
