How Bidding Works:
Bidding starts when you activate your account.
Movers are sent emails with the details of your move only after you activate. Bidding ends when you accept a bid, when you cancel your job, or when your preferred move time has passed, REGARDLESS of when your alternate move time is. Alternate move time is provided only for flexibility.
Mover's require advanced notice. Movers have tight schedules. They need to know by a certain time. So each bid has an expiration time. Once the bid expires you can no longer accept it.
Movers book other jobs.
If they book another job for your move time they will cancel their bids. Bids can be canceled at any time. Choose a time range (i.e. Afternoon) and provide an alternate move time to be more flexible.
You can reopen your job if you don't like the mover.
Ask the mover questions to make sure he can do the move. If for any reason he cannot, reopen the job. You must do this because all other bids become inactive when you accept a bid and movers can no longer bid on your move. When your job is reopened, your bids will become open again if you do not modify the job details. If you EDIT the job during reopening, all the bids will be rejected and the movers will have to resubmit their bids.
You can reopen a cancelled job.
It works just like reopening an accepted job. Again, your bids will become active only if you DO NOT edit your job.
You can reopen an expired job.
All bids will automatically be rejected because you must edit the job. If your job has expired, then your move time has passed and you must change it. This will restart the bidding. Movers will be emailed once you've reopenned the job.
